Certified Sworn Translators
A Certified Sworn Translator is responsible for translating documents that must be submitted to public institutions or agencies. In Argentina, their work is governed by Public Law number 20.305, and they are the only professionals authorized to give legal validity to a translation. The Sworn Translators Association of the City of Buenos Aires (CTPCBA), like other associations, regulates the profession of sworn translators. By signing a translation, the sworn translator certifies its accuracy and assumes ethical and legal responsibility for their work.
